First Impressions: Café Café Pour Homme by Parfums Café

Café Café Pour Homme by Parfums Café
Notes: Bergamot, Mandarin Orange, Violet, Jasmine, Ambergris, & Sandalwood.

The opening is not great. This must be one of the most generic and synthetic citrus openings that I’ve ever smelled. Not great at all!

The jasmine and violet mid notes are serviceable but get lost in the unpleasantness of the opening for me. It only gets good with the ambergris and sandalwood base. It’s nothing to write home about, but it’s pleasant.

Overall, this fragrance does not have a great projection. It does stay remarkably close to the skin and last for a few hours there. I can give it somewhat of a pass for being under $10 but not that much of one. Maybe it will be better the second time around.
