Windsor by English Laundry

Top: Bergamot, Grapefruit, Citrus, & Apple
Middle: Clove, Cinnamon, Cardamom, Violet, & Jasmine
Base: Peppercorn, Oak Moss, Vanilla, Vetiver, Tonka Bean,& Cedarwood

I have been a fam of the house of English Laundry ever since my olfactory was first exposed to Oxford Bleu over a year ago. As a result I have sought out to experience every fragrance that the sight has to offer. After trying, loving, and purchasing many of the offerings from this house, Windsor in the one that has perplexed me.

When I first smelled Windsor it did not impress me. Maybe it was something about the middle notes (including clove, cinnamon, & cardamom) that were just didn’t fit me pallet at the time as they were not notes that I was used to. After my initial trial I put it away for a few months.to my surprise, the time away from the fragrance did it some good.

Its top notes including apple and citrus provide a burst of excitement which settles nicely in to the previously mention middle notes. The base notes including oakmoss, vetiver, and tonka bean offer a long lasting woody sweet dry down. Windsor is better suited in colder weather compared to the warmer weather of my initial impression (in my opinion). The spiciness provides excellent longevity and projection for cutting though the cold of during the winter and fall seasons.

While Windsor is a fragrance that had to grow on me, I still find it to be a excellent addition to any collection.
