Education is something that has been an extensive part of both my personal and professional life for as long as I can remember. It is for this reason that I found the recent conversation with LaMarcus J. Hall on the recent Dr. Vibe Show entitled “The Black Male Blueprint Of Educational Advancement” quite engaging.
LaMarcus J. Hall is the coauthor of “The Black Male Blueprint of Educational Advancement” and is the current Assistant Director of Student Life and Development at Ivy Tech Community College. Part of his duties in this capacity include teaching first-year experience courses, managing over 40 student organizations, intramural sports, as well as recreation and wellness initiatives. He received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Education from Georgia Southern University. LaMarcus is currently pursuing a PhD at Purdue University in the Curriculum and Instruction program. His research focuses on perceptions of men and women of color faculty in the academy at Predominately White Institutions (PWIs).
