Upcoming movies for late fall 2015

Many of us are all in anticipation on some small indie movie that J.J. Abrams is releasing on December 18th, 2015.  In the meantime, there are a few cool movies that are dropping before then, so if you need a weekend diversion while waiting, here are a few movies that may be worth checking out.


The Rocky story has one more bell.  This time, Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) won’t be taking the ring, instead he will be training the son of his biggest rival turned best friend; Adonis Johnson (Michael B. Jordan).  The question is, will Rocky get Adonis Johnson to the gold before the lights turn out for good?  Release Date – November 24th

Victor Frankenstein

James McAvoy and Daniel Radcliffe star in another retelling of the Frankenstein story. In this story Igor (Radcliffe) is Frankenstein’s equal and when things go too far, it’s up to Igor to pull him back from the brink of madness. Release Date – Novemeber 25th…something to watch after you stuff yourself!


He knows when you’ve been sleeping, he knows when you are awake and he knows if your family is dysfunctional!  Right in time for Christmas, this take on this European demon hits theaters and reminds us if we don’t act like family, there will be more than coal in our stockings come Christmas morning! Adam Scott and Toni Collette star in this film. Release Date – December 4th

The Hateful Eight

In Quentin Tarantino’s new movie, four  strangers are making their way to a town called Red Rock. However, they are forced to take shelter at Minnie’s Haberdashery where they meet four more strangers.  Things are not as they seem as they begin to realize that they all may not  make it to Red Rock after all.  As always, Tarantino has a star filled movie with the likes of Sam Jackson, Kurt Russell, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bruce Dern.  Release Date – December 25
