A variation of Martini, the Kangaroo’s origin can be traced back to the 1920s when vodka and vermouth were first mixed together. While not well-known in many circles today, the Kangaroo will certainly put a new pep in your step.
- 3-4 ice cubes
- 1 1/2 oz vodka (45 ml)
- 2/3 oz dry white vermouth (20 ml)
- 1 lemon peel
Pour the vodka and vermouth over ice. Stir with ice and strain into a martini/cocktail glass. Squeeze some oil from a lemon peel, then put the peel in the glass.
