The Happy Hour: A Little Black Russian makes the winter cold vanish.

The story of the Black Russian takes us back to 1949. The Black Russian is a simple vodka and coffee liqueur drink whose origins are attributed to a Belgian bartender to who created the drink in  honor the US Ambasador in Luxemburg at that time, Perle Mesta who was known for her tasteful dinner parties.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 2/3 oz vodka (50 ml)
  • 1/3 oz coffee liqueur (10 ml)

PREPERATION

Mix the vodka and coffee liqueur in to a cocktail mixer. Shake! Pour into glass over the ice. (If desired, top off with cola).
