The Tom Collins is a Collins cocktail made from gin, lemon juice, sugar and carbonated water. First memorialized in writing in 1876 by “the father of American mixology” Jerry Thomas, this “gin and sparkling lemonade” drink typically is served in a Collins glass over ice. (via Wikipedia).
Ingredients
* 1.5 oz Gin
* 1 oz Lemon Juice
* 0.5 oz Sugar Syrup
* Club Soda
* Maraschino Cherry
* Lemon Slice
Preparation
Combine the gin, lemon juice, and sugar in a shaker half-filled with ice cubes. Shake well. Strain into a collins glass almost filled with ice cubes. Add the club soda. Stir and garnish with the cherry and the lemon slice.
